Zam Tuang Missing Found Dead Port St. Lucie, FL Death and Obituary: Tragic Loss Gone Too Soon
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — The Port St. Lucie community is heartbroken after the tragic death of 5-year-old Zam Tuang, who was found deceased on the evening of March 9, 2026. Zam, who was autistic, wandered away from his home in the 700 block of SW Crean Terrace, sparking an urgent search by family members and law enforcement.
According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department, family members searched the house and surrounding area before calling 911 when they could not find him. Surveillance footage later showed Zam leaving the house through the garage around 7:15 p.m. and walking eastbound, out of view. Police responded quickly, deploying patrol units, K-9 teams, and a drone unit to search the area.
After hours of searching, Zam was tragically found in a nearby body of water near SW Juliet Street and SW Hampshire Lane around 9:45 p.m. Officers immediately began CPR, and St. Lucie County Fire Rescue transported him to the hospital. Despite the best efforts of first responders, Zam was pronounced dead shortly after.
