Kyle Alleger and Jaysen Young Tragic Crash Mercer County Obituary and Death: Gone Too Soon

EWING TOWNSHIP, N.J. — The community of Mercer County is mourning the devastating loss of two young men following a tragic two-vehicle crash on Route 29 in Ewing Township on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

The collision occurred around 7:20 a.m. near the Lower Ferry Road intersection. Authorities have identified the victims as Kyle Alleger, 26, of Ewing, New Jersey, and Jaysen Young, 23, of Hamilton, New Jersey. Alleger was pronounced dead at the scene, while Young, who sustained serious injuries, was transported to the hospital. Despite efforts to save him, Young tragically succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.

According to the Ewing Police Department, Young was traveling northbound on Route 29 in a Nissan when his vehicle collided with a Ford driven by Alleger. Alleger was attempting to cross the highway from Lower Ferry Road to head southbound at the time of the crash. The impact of the collision forced both vehicles into the southbound lanes, causing significant damage and prompting a temporary shutdown of the roadway.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, with Officer Steve Arnold of the Ewing Police Department leading the inquiry. The community is urged to come forward with any information that could assist in the investigation.

This tragic accident has left family members, friends, and the entire Mercer County community in deep mourning. Kyle and Jaysen are remembered as vibrant young men whose lives were tragically cut short. Their loss is felt deeply by all who knew them.
