San Antonio 410 Crash Today: Traffic Delays Caused by Collision on Loop 410

A serious traffic accident on Loop 410 in San Antonio caused significant disruptions today, as emergency crews worked to clear the scene and authorities investigated the crash.

The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon along Loop 410 near Callaghan Road on the city’s Northwest Side. A westbound pickup truck collided with another vehicle before crashing through a guardrail and slamming into a tree along the frontage road.

Emergency responders arrived promptly, transporting the driver of the pickup truck to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police temporarily closed portions of Loop 410 to assess the damage and investigate the collision.

Earlier in the day, another traffic incident involving an 18-wheeler also affected the area. The crash on the southbound ramp from Loop 410 to Interstate 37 resulted in its closure, causing traffic delays and prompting authorities to advise drivers to seek alternate routes.

As one of San Antonio’s busiest beltways, Loop 410, also known as the Connally Loop, carries a high volume of daily traffic. Even a single accident can lead to congestion and significant delays across the city’s highway network.

At this time, authorities have not released further details about the cause of the crash, and the investigation is ongoing. Motorists traveling through the area have been advised to proceed cautiously and expect delays as crews continue to clear the scene.
