SAN CARLOS, Ariz. — The San Carlos community is grappling with shock and sorrow following the tragic death of 42-year-old Sonny Garcia Sr., who was fatally stabbed on March 12, 2026, in the Bylas District.

Officers responded to the scene at approximately 7:29 p.m. after receiving a report of a man down. Emergency personnel from San Carlos EMS and the San Carlos Fire Department provided immediate lifesaving efforts before transporting Garcia to the San Carlos Apache Healthcare Corporation.
